The walk we went on yesterday 31st march 2012, was with out a doubt the best value for money, fun, and very informative, the guide was very professional, the children we had with us enjoyed every moment of it. (Posted on 01/04/2012)

Me and My friend had a couple of days on london, and the Harry potter tour was a total highlight of the whole trip!

It was ran by a brilliant tour guide, Becky. From the word go, she was personable and was great at organizing everyone (there was far too many people booked up, but she handled it well - maybe not so many at a time???) and off we went on our tour! We visited some of the actual places in London where they had filmed the ministry of magic, the leaky cauldron and the inspiration for Diagon Alley.

The best part of the tour was the boat ride, down the Thames, like in Deathly Hallows (pt1) where the dementors fly down the river, by millennium bridge! It was such a lovely day, and the boat ride was gorgeous. After that we got off further down the river, and walked for a while. There was a lot of getting on off tubes and walking, so anyone who is physically not able to handle that, this might not be the tour for you. Another highlight was platform 9 3/4 at kings cross. When I went, they were doing a lot of renovation work, but had luckily put a temporary platform 9 3/4 round the side of the station, for such a great photo opportunity!

All in all, the tour was great. It involved a lot of walking, but if your up for an adventure I'd thoroughly reccomend it. Again, Becky was brilliant - but If i had one thing to say it is that the company need to give her better reference materials, like when we were standing outside the leaky cauldron, she had picture to reference it, but it was all dog eared and handled - little details (like laminting that picture for the tour guides) that cost nothing make the whole experience better!

I'm not a Harry Potter fan but love to walk , my 10 year old daughter adores Harry Potter but hates to walk, yet we both enjoyed this trip immensely and there were no complaints about walking even though we were on our feet for 2.5 hours, Our tour guide Yuki was fun and had a great booming voice so you always knew where he was, which was important as the tour goes through a bustling market, would highly recommend to anyone over the age of 8 even if your not sure who Harry Potter is!

  6. "Harry Potter Walking Tour - magical experience, great sights, fun day” Review by Ian G (a TripAdvisor Member)

Tour did not just include locations from the films but covered a large area of London from the West End, Trafalgar Square, The Embankment, a river cruise on The Thames, Bankside, London Bridge and The City of London. Becky was our guide and she was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable - not only about Harry Potter and the books / films but also about London. Fully recommend this experience, very good value for money.

The four of us really enjoyed this guided walk and it was great to amble through parts of London I don't normally have time to visit (the boat trip is a huge plus). I'm not the HP fan in our family but even I found it interesting. You'll love it if you are a fan as its great to see some of the locations from the films. George, the guide, was excellent.

  8. “Tour With Yuki Wow” Review by William K (a TripAdvisor Member)

I enjoyed so much being in all the places where Harry potter was Filmed in London. The weather was glorious, a nice group and a great tour guide, Yuki was friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. I had a nice photo in the platform 9/4 and Yuki varied his voice for the cinema effect. Found some new places to for a night out.
I highly recommend the tour to all Harry potter fans or people interesting in the movies. Not only have you the chance to see places from the movie, but also to go in a boat at The Thames , Borough Market and stories about the city London. I am over fascinated and I will recommend to my work colleagues. Nice sightseeing.

  9. “Active tour with lots of Harry Potter trivia” Review by aaraney (a TripAdvisor Member)

I wanted to share my experience on the Harry Potter tour. Yuki was our guide and I arrived at the meeting point to find him wearing a brown sorting hat. He was delightful, smiling, and really in control of the group. We were in a busy area, he patiently waited for everyone to arrive and then moved us to a quieter location to begin the tour.

We travelled all over London... on foot, on boat, on tube. It was great to see so many different parts of the City in relation to the Harry Potter world. I especially liked the street with the book shops and the Leadenhall market stops.

This was simply a great tour. I saw places that I would've never knew existed in London and the whole experience left me feeling as though I was in a Potter movie. The guide, George, not only provided super knowledge about Harry Potter but also an insight into London, modern and old! The cost is amazing for what you experience. I wholly recommend this tour! Thanks
