Took the tour with my 11 year old nephew as we were in the city for New York Comicon. Couldn't have been better. Loved that the tour delved into the history of comics and relevant film locations which got my nephew engaged but also gave history of great NY landmarks such as Chrysler Building, Grand Central Terminal so he was getting some educational stuff too, he recalled information given on this tour much better than other tours because the guide made it so relatable. Friendly and accessible for adults and kids alike and there are places on this tour I would never have visited or known about. Minor sticking point is that you don't finish where you started, luckily I know my way about the city but if you don't have a great sense of direction do ask for directions as to how you get back to where you need to be. My wife and friends gave me a surprise party tour! We had a great time from roaming around Hendleys comic store and Paul the tour guide was great with all of us - including my 8 year old daughter. (I think he must be a dad too - he kept her interested more than I thought). We were amazed of the trivia he knew and never knew that NYC was the birth of comics! Maybe the Mayor of NYC should take this tour. We also got to see a movie being filmed not on the tour but Paul talked his way on to the set - another plus. Then we ended up at a cartoon bar where there was a cake waiting and Paul showed me some of my favorite cartoonists on the wall. BRING a camera. Paul and the Supertour made turning 40 not bad! I have been to NYC countless times in the past and on this particular trip I wanted to do something different. I found the Superhero tour of New York and thought that it sounded like it could be fun. It went beyond my expectations! The guide, Paul, was a fountain of superhero and comic book knowledge. We saw sights from Superman, Spider-man, The Fantastic Four, Kick-a*s and so many others that I can't even remember! We ended the tour and this really cool bar/restaurant that has hundreds of hand drawn comics on the wall from the actual original artist! What a hidden gem and huge surprise for the tour! Great way to end a fantastic afternoon! If you are looking for something different and fun and entertaining to do in the NYC, this tour is it! (Posted on 14/01/2011)

Paul the Tour Guide was so knowledgeable, going into Marvel HQ was brilliant and into the Daily Planet! Without Paul we wouldn't have known that the globe was there!! Interesting into the history of comics also. Fantastic, we loved it!! (Posted on 20/10/2010)

Not only did we get a great education on how comics were so important in New York but we had a lot of laughs from the minute the guide showed his Superman S T shirt I didn't know what to think!

The final destination at a Cartoonist Hang out was quite a surprise!

Just wanted to drop you a line to say I recently travelled to NYC and while there took my boyfriend on the Superhero tour of the city. Thought you might like some feedback, so just wanted to say it was fantastic, a really great unique experience and a big thumbs up for our tour guide who was excellent and had a brilliant knowledge of all things comic and movie related.

My other half was in comic-nerd heaven!
